Hey there friend! I’m Amber, my hubby is Jeff and we are… “The Cozy Homesteaders!” That was kinda cheesy lol. Sorry about that. Okay, back to the intro…
The story in a nutshell…
Jeff and I had been wanting to slow down our hustle and bustle lives for quite some time. So when fate took a turn, we found ourselves in a spot where some drastic changes could be made. Our dream situation was to be able to live comfortably without the two of us constantly apart working overtime shifts just to try and make ends meet. Downsizing our home wasn’t going to be enough though, the cost of living where we were was overwhelming on several levels. The search for a more affordable state to live in had begun. Jeff had actually been researching this topic for quite some time and after careful consideration we set our sites on Tennessee.
After traveling in an RV for 3 months we finally by chance (or fate as it feels) found ourselves making an offer on a cute little ranch style home sitting on just under 5 acres. The property had everything and more on both of our bucket lists. The house did need quite a lot of work but luckily we had planned ahead and budgeted for it.
We can’t wait to tell you all the things we are doing here on our little hobby homestead. Our hopes for creating this blog is to inspire our readers to slow down and really delight in everyday, simple living. This is something we are both very passionate about.
